I had been looking for a red and white Border Collie for just over a year when I found Holly, I thought a friend for Dane would be good as I had changed from shift work to full time day shifts and wanted him to have a buddy. At this stage breeding was not even a consideration and I didn't care if I got a dog or bitch.
Holly was born in Auckland and I flew to Rotoura to my best friends place and she drove me to Auckland, Holly was put into my arms and we bonded straight off I named her on the drive home. We stayed a few days and flew home to introduce my new baby to my boy Dane it was love at first sight they became and still are very good mates.
Holly is very cuddly and loving, she is a good mum to her pups but can get a bit hormonal around her season and with new born puppies. I have a couple of ribbons from a champ show where Holly got Baby puppy of Breed and Baby puppy of group, her first and last time in a show! She has had agility training but we haven't competed (I let her down) she isn't keen on the weave poles! Holly loves water and chasing lights at night
(torch or laser-lights).
