Brandy craves attention, and loves nothing more than a big hug! At the same time I started to look for Holly I put my name down with a couple of breeders in Australia for a chocolate Border Collie, I had seen them on the internet and loved the colour. When I put my name down with Joan Bray at Bordercheck I brought her Book Border Collies...it is now very well used and worth every cent.
I coudn't name the amount of times I opened that book and said "I'm getting one of those chocolates" When I got the call 2 1/2 yrs later to say there was a pup for me if I was still interested I was over the moon. I found out it was a girl pup and would be ready to come to New Zealand in about 3 weeks.... no more full nights sleep for me. It's hard to describe how I felt when I opened the crate and out came Brandy, she fitted in right away even tho at the time we were living in a house truck and it was a bit squashy!
Brandy is a herder she would have made a fantastic working dog and this was passed down in her first litter as well. She keeps all the dogs, puppies, humans whoever is around in a group and is always watching for strays! So funny. Brandy has too be near me and while this is lovely sometimes I get annoyed when I am running the dogs and she is always in heel position. Her favourite thing in the whole world is to be allowed to sleep on the bed with us ... in the middle of course!
