Neo is the most independent of all my dogs, his favourite thing is running free in the paddocks.........he just goes and goes and goes! When Neo is in run mode you can't call him back and I never try! When I let the dogs into the paddock its their time and I love to watch Neo run, especially when one of the others joins him (usually Bracken) it looks so good. Neo has such nice movement he has good bone and is quite a heavy boy but you wouldn't think so when he moves he is so agile.
Once he thinks he has run off his excess energy he comes bounding up for loves about a metre from me he jumps lookout if I don't see him coming! Then he is happy to stand or sit there for lots of cuddles, he is very loving. When I first got Neo I made a mistake by carrying him to his kennel every night now he is too big but still wants to be carried so I walk him on his back legs cuddling him all the way (usually only a coulpe of metres at most) and then we have to have big cuddles before I can put him in for the night...then he is happy....even Nathan can't put Neo into his kennel if he sees me!
When Neo is swimming with us he swims up to you then goes limp...you have to grab him cos he goes under, he is so trusting!
Once Neo is on a lead he is totally under control and moves and stands beautifully. Keely is his best friend and often they go off playing together and come back covered in muck! She has chewed the tip of his tail off twice but thank goodness has out grown that cos he looks funny without it!
